Dennis Short graduated from Duquesne University's School of Music in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pa where he majored in Contemporary Guitar, with a Minor in Piano and emphasis on Music Ed.  Upon finishing school he began his career in music education and since then has taught hundreds of students some of which have gone on to graduate from the Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA, pursue music careers such as composing film scores in Hollywood, and even becoming teachers themselves.

 

Upon accepting a teaching position at Saint Bartholomew's Music Academy in 2008, Dennis moved to San Diego with his family to continue his career.  Shortly thereafter he became the Music Teacher at Country Montessori School of Poway.  Teaching preschool through fifth grade Mr. Short has enriched the lives of countless children and families over the past ten years. 

 

The mission for Short Music Studios is to provide an exceptional level of service to the families it serves.  With twenty years of experience as a musician, teacher, and father Dennis is excited for what the future holds.  By mentoring teachers, using the latest technology, and researching & developing new techniques, Dennis hopes to raise the bar for how effective music lessons can be at motivating and inspiring today's children!
